Jon Delange
JON DELANGE
Song Contest Supervisor
Jon Delange began a career in music in 1985 when he purchased a 16-track recording studio from Minneapolis’ own Prince. In 1993, Jon founded Oarfin Records, a tiny upstart studio and label he financed with a $20,000 loan. Three years later, the company was grossing over a million dollars annually. Oarfin’s world class recording facility was catering to Jonny Lang, Sheryl Crow, Tori Amos and Christina Aguilera. The company grew to be a major distributor and was dubbed Best Buy’s National “Independent Model” with over 600 titles by the end of the decade. In 2000 Tinderbox Music was formed and Jon re-launched his career as their label liaison and representative for music licensing. Jon continues to serve tier-1 artists in addition to providing college radio and PR support for independents. Tinderbox is frequently engaged in major music licensing deals for some of the biggest bands, brands and networks in the US.

KRISTIN CIFELLI

A schooled musician and seasoned performing songwriter, Kristin Cifelli took the music scene by storm in 1999 with the release of her debut album, Silver Bowl, to critical acclaim, earning her a Boston Music Award Nomination. Her second release, So Long My Love, brought her increased notoriety, with a Nomination for Best Album and a win for Best Song ("Show Them") in the Independent Music Awards in 2006. Early in 2002, Kristin contributed her song, "Martyr", on the Sony/Heavy Rotation Records compilation, Shekinah 13 Artists, which celebrates the diverse female alumni of Berklee College of Music. Kyler England
KYLER ENGLAND
Artist Development
There's a good reason why Kyler has won numerous songwriting awards and garnered such acclaim as being named one of Music Connection Magazine's "Hot Unsigned Artists 2007" and "Best Alternative Rock Album" in the Indie Acoustic Project Awards. With a natural instinct for melody and lyrics, honed during a stint at the renowned Berklee College of Music, she crafts songs that are not only addictively catchy but full of depth. Having studied classical music theory at North Carolina State University and contemporary-pop and jazz at Berklee, Kyler is a self-professed music geek. But her music studies extend far outside the classroom. Over the last few years, she has sharpened her skills through extensive co-writing in Los Angeles, where she currently resides, and in Nashville, including with hit songwriters Dave Berg, Maia Sharp, Eve Nelson, and Kim Richey. Kyler also considers "the road" to have been one of her most important teachers, having played over 150 shows each year for the past 5 years including the Toronto Film Festival, Bele Chere Festival and opening for Sting, Annie Lennox, Melissa Etheridge, and Vienna Teng, to name a few. She has released five records on her own label, Gypsy Rock Records, and has had songs featured on TV shows including Guiding Light, Rollergirls and Zoey 101. Working closely with every artist on the We Are Listening roster, Kyler’s finely tuned ear ensures that the team is always pitch perfect.

Splitting his time between LA and various overseas adventures, Matt brings his vast experience in music and culture to the We Are Listening team and ensures that no one makes the mistake of turning down the volume.
