Songwriting Critiques

Songwriting critiques are an excellent source of educational feedback for songwriters and lyricists who wish to hone their craft and sharpen their writing skillset. Usually, songwriting critiques are produced by professional songwriters (i.e. published songwriters or signed artists who perform their own material), creative directors at music publishing companies or label divisions, song 'pluggers', and music professors accredited in contemporary writing. Generally, the reviewer will receive a request for one or more songwriting critiques from the applicant. If the reviewer accepts, the applicant will pay an up-front fee in exchange for the critique, most commonly in the form of a written report.

When an applicant purchases one or more songwriting critiques from We Are Listening, he or she can expect to receive a detailed report via email from a member of our music industry panelists within 14 days from entry. Furthermore, the applicant is given the choice of asking the reviewer up to three specific questions from a pre-approved list so that the critique may address a specific area of the applicant's song or lyric.

Take your song and lyric writing to the very next level with We Are Listening's songwriting critiques.
