Circle
They used to be called Opanoni & the Raindrops so if you hated them, you’ll probably hate Circle too. As Opanoni, they released two albums through MGM. The first was "Stamps & Coins" and the second was "EGBDF". Both releases received a ton of media attention. Google it! Their debut release as Circle, "Just Keep Swimming", was released through their own label, Monday Records, and dropped in May 2008. It’s currently distributed by Creative Vibes. The album release was supported with a modest East Coast tour and the album was launched in conjunction with the first annual zine fair at the MCA in Sydney.

Honor By August
Honor By August
"Now widely considered one of the most promising new talents on the East Coast," (Washington Post) Honor By August makes music characterized by "distinctive, inviting vocals and anthemic, reverb-drenched guitars" (MetroMusicScene.com) and built on "award-winning songwriting, strong vocals, catchy melodies, and dynamic live performance" (Jenni Chase, Washington's Z104/OnTap Magazine). Their newest release, "Found," finds the band in musical territory somewhere between U2, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon and Bruce Springsteen -- a melodic and accessible blend of rock hooks and lyrical observations on life, loss, love and hope.

The Soldier Thread
The Soldier Thread is one of those bands that, through some strange trick of physics, can make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Their music has that rare, mind-boggling ability to remind us how utterly overwhelming love is. Established Austin musicians have referred to them as "freaks" in reference to the polished, stunning quality of the young band's live performances. Others have just called them amazing. Raw, ambient, and somewhat transient, their songs do more than reflect the most bittersweet of moods and emotions… they create them.

This Is Radio Freedom emerged from their previous guise as last year's surprise festival crowd-pleasers VWF, who left a mighty impression on all that they came across. Whether it was at Almeria's Natural Festival where they played alongside Primal Scream and Iggy Pop, or at the more underground Secret Garden Party and Truck 10 in the heart of England - all comers were taken in by the electro-tinged, visceral rock 'n' roll on display.
